'Vi,'.A Vizuális Művészeti Intézet The Visual Arts InstituteA két és fél évszázados egri felsőoktatásnak közel hetven éve szerves része a művészeti oktatás. Az 1948-ban alapított tanszék arculatát a 90-es évek elejéig a rajztanárképzés határozta meg kétszakos pedagógusképzés keretében. 1993-tól az oktatás specializálódott, és rajz-vizuális kommunikáció szakká alakulva immár teljes egészében a vizualitás köré szerveződött a képzés. 2007 óta a bolognai rendszer szerint folyik az oktatás három alapszakon: képi ábrázolás (festő és grafikus szakiránnyal), elektronikus ábrázolás (elektrográfia, webdesign, képanimátor szakiránnyal), illetve plasztikai ábrázolás (természetművészet).Az egyetemi képzés 2008-ban vette kezdetét a Tanszéken, így lehetőség van MA szintű képesítést szerezni vizuális és környezetkultúra tanári szakon, 2013-tól pedig elindult a tervezőg-rafikus-művész mesterszak is. A 2D15/1G-os tanév fordulópont az életünkben, hiszen 2015 őszétől Vizuáhs Művészeti Intézetté váltunk Képzőművészeti, illetve Média és Design Tanszékre tagozódva. 201G júliusától pedig egy évszázados álom beteljesüléseként maga az intézmény alakul át egyetemmé Eszterházy Károly Egyetem néven.Amint e rövid történeti áttekintésből is kitetszik, a nagy hagyományokkal rendelkező egri rajztanárképzés az elmúlt évtizedben jelentősen átalakult, és a művészetközvetítés tágabb keretei között a művészképzés irányába mozdult el. Ennek köszönhetően több választási lehetőséget is tudunk biztosítani hallgatóinknak a vizuális oktatás területén.For aimost seuenty years, art educotíon has been an integroiport of higher education in Eger, the history of u;hich goes back to two and a half centuries. Up to the early iggos, the image of the department founded in 1948 was defined by the training of teachers of draiwing ujithin the framework of the double major teacher training system. From 1333 the education has been specialised and as a major of Draujing and Visual Communication the training was entirely structured around uisual experience Since the introduction of the Bologna system in 2007. the education is carried out in three Bachelor programmes: Visual representation (with specialisations in painting and graphic design]. Digital representation (with specialisations in electrography. web design and animation) and Plastic representation (enuironmental art).The university level training at the Department began in 2008. An MA teacher's degree of Visual and Environmental Design can be attained for eightyears, and the Graphic Design MA programme started in 2013. The academic year of 2015/26 marked a turning point in the history of the institute since the Visual Arts Institute was established in autumn 2035 and divided into the Department of Fine Arts and the Deportment of Media and Design.
