Bővebb ismertető
Practically everyone has heard of Sherlock Holmes and certainly many people have read the books, but for those who have not probably the best known story is that of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Therefore in this abridgement read by Hugh Burden we hope to introduce Holmes to a new audience and also satisfy the afficionado.
It is a marvellous story of the ruthless exploitation of a family legend by an unscrupulous outsider, who is foiled in the attempt by the quiet acuteness of Holmes and the dogged persistence of Watson. After the horrible death of Sir Charles Baskerville what will happen to his heir Sir Henry Baskerville, is a question that will keep the listener guessing until the last minute. The fog, the mire and the HOUND, all contribute to the sense of unreality that is a central feature of the writings of Sir Arthur Conar Doyle.
