Foreword Dear Reader, Dust like you, I had the chance to take this beautiful album in my hands only not long ago. Obviously, this is the freshest, most beautiful, and best edited works in Hungary on Formula one. It is always a joy to open a new book, and the joy is multiplied when one con read about the field that he loves - sometimes with real passion - and for which he worked hard for several years, as happened in my case. But in addition for giving us pleasure, I feel that this album Is a sig, a kind of feedback confirming that the work of those who devoted their energy for this cause was not in vain. Formula 1 wins more and more people in Hungary, and by degree it is taking the position in our social life that it deserves, the same way as this book will take the place of honour on our bookshelves. It is a special pleasure that In recent years the prestige of the HungahanGrand Prix increased considerably both in Hungary and In Abroad, and even the Hungarian government acknowledges its social and economic significance, moreover It provides a considerable state subsidy for the event. Due to this fact In the last three, or rather four years the Hungaroring went through a huge development which is without compare, and it became one of the best tracks In Europe. And with another 404 million Forints for enlargement coming from the raised basic capital of the Hungaroring Sport Joint-stock Company by the government, Hungaroring has got the chance to become the European broadcasting centre for Formula 1, and if It is lucky it will get the rights to hold the Hungarian Grand Prix until 2006. But beside all the economic, and International prestige Formula 1 gains for Hungary the event is, of course, first of all for the fans, the spectators, the public. Dust like this book.
